Providing quality structural engineering services.
GOVERNMENT PROJECTS:

Repella Consulting Engineers has provided structural engineering services on a wide variety of
government projects. These include
office buildings, hotels, dormitories, industrial-type facilities
and family housing projects
located across the United States, including hurricane and seismic regions.
Much of our experience in the government sector has involved design-build projects with accelerated
schedules and with projects involving
every branch of the military.
Below is a representative sample of government projects that Repella Consulting
Engineers has recently completed.
Fort Worth Navy Lodge

Naval Air Station - Joint Reserve Base, Fort Worth, Texas
Architect: Edward J. Cass & Associates, San Diego, California
Contractor: CF Jordan, Dallas, Texas
We recognize that government projects pose challenges to the design team that are not often faced with
projects in other sectors. We have extensive experience designing with the
current United States
Military design manuals
, including Army Corps of Engineers Techincal Instructions and Manuals,
NAVFAC documents and
Department of Defense Antiterrorism Standards. We are experienced with
the high level of scrutiny that often accompanies government projects and are
conscientious in
partnering with the design team and government reviewing authorities to address each concern raised
during the review process. We shine during the construction phase of the project when we
partner with
the contractor and owner
to address all questions and issues that arise, providing assistance and
solutions to the satisfaction of the contractor, owner and design team.

Camp Lejeune Marine Corps Base, Jacksonville, North Carolina
Architect: Edward J. Cass & Associates, San Diego, California
Contractor: Caddell Construction, Montgomery, Alabama
2 dormitory buildings, 3 stories each, totaling 190,000 square feet.
Each dormitory contains 2 wings connected by walkway bridges with a 1-story multipurpose recreational
facility located between the wings.
Structural system is comprised of pre-engineered light gage steel truss roof framing, reinforced concrete
floor slabs, masonry shear/bearing walls and is founded on prestressed concrete piles and grade beams.
Structures are located along the Atlantic coast and subject to hurricane forces.
Structures are also located in a moderate seismic-risk region.
3-story, 35,000 square foot extended-stay hotel facility.
Structural system is comprised of pre-engineered light gage steel truss roof framing, reinforced concrete floor
slabs and framing and is founded on drilled piers and grade beams.
Structural design included provisions for Anti-Terrorism Force Protection (ATFP) requirements, in which the
structural system is designed to prevent progressive collapse in the event that a terrorist attack results in loss
of main structural elements.
Project schedule required accelerated delivery of design drawings. The entire project was scheduled to be
designed, built and delivered to the owner within 1 year. (Project is currently under construction.)
